1.Update to macOS high sierra (or later) before the installation of the new SSD.
2.If you’re running OS X 10.8 or later, use internet recovery mode (Option+Command+R), go to the terminal on the top menu and type the command "diskutil list" if SSD is detected.
3.If not, we recommend creating a bootable USB using a flash drive. Resetting the NVRAM can also help detect your SSD.
If your system is Monterey, either downgrade your system to Big Sur or use a USB bootable installer to install Monterey.
